The Wentworth Brown Estate
In 2019, Haverhill Heritage, Inc. took notice of this slowly decaying stately old home located in historic Haverhill Corner, New Hampshire, on the scenic Connecticut River Byway.. Their mission led to the formation of the Wentworth Brown Project, an endeavor that will save this important ca. 1805 historic estate and enrich the region both culturally and economically.

Our Vision
Haverhill Heritage, Inc. (HHI) is an organization serving 42 communities, including some of the most economically and geographically disenfranchised in the heart of a rural, agricultural region. We serve communities on both sides of the Connecticut River in New Hampshire and Vermont, as well as communities east of us in the White Mountains. We are a small board of community members who oversee the day to day operations of both facilities.
The Wentworth Brown property is positioned to be a resource for the entire community, from students to artists, to those seeking to enhance employment skills, to senior citizens.
- Having a dedicated facility that is mission driven will establish the best pathway to fulfilling critical gaps and community development for an ever-changing world and workforce.
- Haverhill Heritage Inc.’s Court Street Arts is the setting for performing arts programming as well as a gathering space for meetings, parties and weddings.
- The Wentworth Brown House restoration will allow us to diversify and expand programming in a different setting, utilizing small rooms, as well as a beautiful outdoor space for events.
- Together, we can provide an arts campus for activities such as performances (large and small), retreats, private gatherings, meetings, weddings and parties, etc. for the entire community and beyond.
By adding the Wentworth Brown house to our endeavor, we will fill a community gap and create a brighter future for area residents.
